Biography of Marie Curie
She was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1867. She was a clever student at school, but she couldn't go to university. At that time, women couldn't go to university, but she studied secretly at a university while she was looking after a rich family's children. She was hard-working and patient. After that, she moved to France and she studied Science at Sorbonne University. She became the first woman when she got the job of Professor of Physics at Sorbonne University.
She met Pierre Curie there. She got married to Pierre. He helped her and they did a lot of important works at the
laboratory. They had two children. They discovered radium and polonium. They won the Nobel Prize for Physics. Pierre died in a road accident three years later. Marie worked hard and won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1911. So, she became the only woman who won two Nobel Prizes.
Marie Curie used her discoveries to help people. She died of cancer in France in 1934.

He is a doctor and a cardiac surgeon. He was born in Cleveland in the USA on June 11, 1960. He got married to Lisa in 1985. He lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife, Lisa. They have got four children.
He went to Tower Hill School. He got a degree at Harvard University. In 1986 he got MD and MBD degrees at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the Wharton School. He has been a professor at Columbia University since 2001. He runs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program in New York, too. His researches are about heart replacement surgery and health care policy. He has done a lot of shows as a health expert on television. He has taught people natural methods to live longer. He has won lots of awards so far.
He has written over 400 works. He has got several patents so far. He performs 250 heart operations a year. He is the founder and chairman of HealthCorps.
Hidayet Türkoğlu
Hidayet Türkoğlu was born on 19 March 1979 in İstanbul. He is 2.08 m tall and he is slim and sporty. He has played basketball since he was 10 years old. He has scored most in lots of matches since he became a professional basketball player. He started playing for Efes Pilsen when he was sixteen years old. He signed a contract for 8 million dollars for 9 years. He played so well that he played for Turkish national team in 1997. He took parts in the events both in Europe and World Championship between 1997 and 1998. He became one of the
best foreign basketball players in NBA preliminary match. Then, he played for Sacramento Kings between 2000 and 2001. Meanwhile, NBA channel accepted him as one of the best basketball players. He became a MVP (the most important player) between 2007 and 2008. Hidayet Türkoğlu got married to Banu Ergur on 12 June 2005. Soon, he did his military service. He played well in the 2009 European Basketball Championship. He has worn Turkish uniform since then.
